The Birth of EaseAlert:

EaseAlert was co-founded by Blake Richardson, whose father’s long career in the fire service and a close family friend’s heart attack on duty sparked the idea. Realizing heart attacks are the leading cause of on-duty deaths, Blake made it his mission to help save lives.

Legacy alerting systems rely on loud, jarring alarms that trigger a dangerous startle response. EaseAlert is a purpose-built solution designed to replace those alerts with calmer, smarter signals: tactile vibrations and soft red lights that wake the body without shocking the system.

Justin Barnes, CWO (ret)
Solutions Representative
Justin Barnes is a senior operations leader with over 22 years of experience leading teams across the U.S. Marine Corps and Department of War Fire and Emergency Services. From 99% graduation rate for his recruits to three consecutive Fire Dept of the Year awards, CWO3 Barnes has made those around him better everywhere he goes. He brings his passion for helping people to EaseAlert through providing long-lasting solutions for the fire departments we serve.
Kevin MacLean
Solutions Representative
After starting as a civilian firefighter, Kevin served in the US Air Force Fire & Emergency Services, ultimately earning a leadership role as battalion chief in the aftermath of a Category 5 Hurricane that nearly wiped out Tyndall Air Force Base. His field experience, combined with strong communication skills, allows him to effectively translate real-world firefighter needs into practical solutions at EaseAlert.

Production Lead
Trey connects hands‑on production with operational excellence. From assembly to deployment, he ensures EaseAlert hardware is built, tested, and delivered to perform when it matters most.
