EaseAlert's Fire Station of the Year Award
Up to $50,000 off a complete station alerting system. One department, every year.
Trusted by departments nationwide
Why We're Doing This
Safety Gear Shouldn't Be Priced Out of Reach
Fire departments are chronically underfunded. We hear it on nearly every call we take. The chief knows the klaxon is hard on their people, knows response times could be better, and knows there is no line item for fixing it.
So every year, we're going to find one department that needs it most and help them get there.
We believe every responder should have access to healthy alerting, and we know budget constraints can make it tough. This is our way of making it more attainable for those with limited budgets.

Our Solutions
Reduce cardiac stress while improving turnout times
Tactile
BunkAlert shakes the bunk and the TacPod buzzes on the wrist, tuned to how heavily you sleep. Nobody else gets blasted awake.
See tactile alerting
Visual
Calm red LEDs in the bunkroom and a lit path from bunk to bay, instead of the overhead fluorescents at three in the morning.
See visual alerting
Audible
SafeTone reshapes the tone instead of blasting it. You still hear the call, without the jolt that wears on a crew over a career.
See audible alerting
Command & Control
The Central Command Unit reads the dispatch and alerts only the devices tied to the unit assigned to the call. No process overhaul.

improvement in self-reported health
I was very skeptical when my firefighters first approached me about EaseAlert. But I figured that if it even helped one firefighter, then it would be worth trying. It has lowered the stress and anxiety of all members, and it allows for better size-up.
Fire Chief Greg Ranard
Dyess Air Force Base Fire & Emergency Services
EaseAlert has changed my career. It makes the transition from down time to emergency response immensely easier on all of our bodies and minds. And it allows me to wear ear plugs at night, drowning out the excess noise, and greatly increasing my sleep when I can get it. All while ensuring I won't miss a call.
Firefighter Zach Huffman
St. Augustine Fire Department
When one of our team members needed an alerting solution to better support her as a hearing-impaired firefighter, EaseAlert stepped up. This technology is making a real difference for her and has helped us continue to build a more inclusive and responsive department for our community.
Fire Chief Todd Allen
City of DeLand Fire Department
My crews feel less startled and healthier with EaseAlert. That's the most important benefit to me as the fire chief. Plus, the system is reliable and they provide unparalleled customer support. These guys know what they're doing.
If you're looking to gain an edge, improve health, and enhance overall capabilities, I strongly recommend EaseAlert. The system is universally praised by our firefighters and 911 dispatchers. I've heard nothing but positive feedback and the customer support has been excellent.
Fire Chief Michael Guzman
Joint Base San Antonio Fire & Emergency Services
With safety and health being such a critical part of our jobs, we owe it to our firefighters to change how we approach station alerting.
Fire Chief Carlos Aviles

For the Front Office
What to Tell Your City
Is it a gift?
No. It is a discount of up to $50,000 off the quoted price of a station alerting system. This typically covers the cost of equipment and years of support for the average station.
What will it cost us?
The quoted price minus the award. You will know the exact number before anything is signed.
How is the winner picked?
By an EaseAlert committee on published criteria. There is no drawing and no fee to apply.
Need something for your city's file? Email heartsmart@easealert.com and we will put it together.
Can anyone put a station forward?
Yes. A firefighter, a company officer, a chief, a dispatcher or someone from the community. Put your role on the form and add the email of anyone else who should be in the loop, and we will bring them in.
We have almost no budget. Does that hurt our chances?
The opposite. Financial need is one of the four things every application is scored on.
Does applying commit us to anything?
No. Applying costs nothing and obligates the department to nothing.
Is this a drawing?
No. Every application is read and scored by an EaseAlert committee on financial need, operational impact, technical fit and readiness. There is nothing to buy and nothing to win at random.
Will it work with our dispatch?
The Central Command Unit works with the dispatch you already have. Before any department is selected, our team reviews your CAD and radio setup with your people so the fit is confirmed, not assumed.
What happens after the support period?
Continuing service depends on the system your station runs and what it needs. We go through that with you up front.

EaseAlert's Fire Station of the Year Award is an application based program. Departments are selected on published criteria by an EaseAlert committee, not by random drawing. The award is a discount of up to $50,000 off the quoted price of a station alerting system, and a department may owe a balance if the system it needs costs more. Dates are subject to change.
