Automated Voice Dispatch (AVD) is a tool dispatchers can use to deliver computer-generated text-to-voice call information directly to responders. Instead of relying on a dispatcher to repeat the same details multiple times, AVD delivers a consistent, easy-to-understand voice announcement that matches the call data being sent through the EaseAlert® system.

When calls are moving fast, dispatchers are often multitasking: gathering critical information, coordinating resources, and staying connected with field units. In that environment, it’s easy for details to be missed, repeated, or heard differently by different people.
AVD exists to make delivery of initial call details more consistent and dependable. By turning structured dispatch information into a clear voice announcement, AVD helps reduce repeated radio traffic and helps crews get the same baseline information as they move from bunk to bay.
As call information is entered into the EaseAlert® Dispatch Console (or received from CAD when integrated), AVD converts selected text fields into a computer-generated voice announcement. That announcement can be played in the station so responders can hear key details while they’re moving, gearing up, and crossing noisy environments.
This allows dispatchers to deliver audible information to responders in real time without even getting off the call with the 911 caller, all with a few simple clicks and quick typing.
AVD sits alongside the Dispatch Console and CCU as part of the “front end” of EaseAlert®. The CCU handles activation of devices, the Display Boards show the details, and AVD helps crews hear those same details while they move. It’s designed to support faster comprehension with less radio congestion during the busiest moments of a call.
Does AVD replace our radio traffic?
No. AVD is meant to supplement your existing radio and CAD workflows by delivering consistent initial call information in the station. Radio traffic remains essential for updates, confirmations, and on-scene operations.
Where will we hear it?
AVD is be played through speakers on EaseAlert Display Boards (smart TVs) and Mobile Display Boards (iPads).
