Display Board

The Display Board is how you keep everyone on the same page in real time as a call is coming in. It pushes live information including nature of call, address, crew(s) assigned, and call notes to smart televisions in the station so responders know what they’re rolling into before they leave the bay.

Automated Voice Dispatch (AVD) can be played over the Display Boards to provide voice guidance en route to the rig. AVD turns text from the EaseAlert® Dispatch Console or Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) into a consistent voice that plays over the Display Board for reliable, understandable call information for all calls.

Why the Display Board Exists

Too often, firefighters are rolling out the door with misinformation or unclear call details due to limitations from human voice and traditional audio communications over radio frequency (RF).

The Display Board exists to cut through that. As the call is taken, the Display Board updates in real time. Firefighters see exactly what the dispatcher is entering: the nature of the call, where it is, who is going, and any critical notes.

How it Works

Smart TVs or monitors are placed in key spots on the way to the apparatus bay, such as hallways, dayrooms, training rooms, or the apparatus bay. When a call comes in, the Display Board switches from its idle screen to active mode.

As information is entered into the EaseAlert® Dispatch Console, the Display Board updates. Firefighters heading to the truck can quickly glance at the screen and get:

• Assigned units or crews
• Special notes
• Turnout timer

How the Display Board Fits into the EaseAlert System

The Display Board adds to the situational awareness aspects of the EaseAlert® Firefighter Alerting system. While TacPods™, VizAlerts™, and BunkAlerts® focus on how you wake up and move, the Display Board focuses on what you know as you go.

Together with the Dispatch Console and CCU, it closes the loop from 911 call to the backstep, helping your crews leave the station more informed and more prepared.
