The TacPod was built to make the alerting process healthier, more controlled, and more effective for responders. This is not a smartwatch app or a consumer gadget. It is a purpose built, firefighter designed wearable that delivers a strong tactile alert and a bright red LED right where you are, without blasting the entire station awake.

Why the TacPod Exists

Traditional station alerting hits everyone the same way, whether they are needed or not. The result is unnecessary wakeups, sleepless nights, continuous adrenaline blasts, and a shift schedule that never really lets your body recover. EaseAlert set out to fix that by shifting alerting to the individual responder, not the building.

The TacPod delivers a direct, unmistakable vibration to the responder assigned to the call. This tactile alert is clinically validated to reduce the stress spike that comes with traditional audible alarms. It can be programmed to your specific apparatus so only the crew members assigned to that call get alerted, even in a shared bunk room.

Co designed by firefighters, tested in the field, and continuously improved through direct feedback from the responders who use it, the TacPod exists for one purpose: to serve the fire service.

How it Works

Wherever you are within range of the CCU, the TacPod has you covered. The wireless signal is designed for real stations, including multi building setups. If range is ever an issue, a mesh network can extend coverage throughout the entire building.

Whether you are working out, mowing the station lawn, using loud equipment, or wearing hearing protection, the TacPod makes sure you get the message.

When a call is dispatched, the TacPod delivers a 10 second vibration pattern that slowly pulses between high and low frequency, paired with a solid red LED. It feels nothing like a smartwatch buzz, so there is no confusion with texts or app notifications. You take it off the charger, put it on, and it is ready.

Some firefighters wear it for their entire 24-hour shift. Others use it only during workouts or noisy tasks. However you prefer to use it, the TacPod is designed to support your workflow and your response needs.

Can I shower with it?
Yes. It is built to handle showering, sweat, dust, and normal firefighting abuse.

Will it wake me up?
For most firefighters, yes. For heavy sleepers, pairing the TacPod™ with BunkAlert® gives you both a strong bunk vibration and personal tactile alerting you can count on.

Can I get a TacPod™ for myself?
The TacPod™ only works when there’s a CCU in range, so it’s best to set up EaseAlert® throughout the station.
