The VizAlert™ also powers other devices including SafeTone™, BunkAlert®, Turnout Timer, and the Wireless LED Strip. Think of it as the Swiss army knife for Firefighter Alerting.
We all know the feeling of getting ripped out of deep sleep by loud tones and bright white lights. Your heart jumps, your vision narrows, and you stumble through those first few seconds trying to figure out what is going on. We know that waking up like that is rough on your body and your mind, and over the course of a career it can take a massive toll.
VizAlert exists to change that part of the experience. Red light is easier on your eyes and can help reduce sleep inertia so you can move from bunk to apparatus more smoothly. Instead of hitting you with a wall of white light, VizAlert gives you a clear, controlled visual cue that it is time to move.
VizAlert™ units are typically mounted on the wall in bunkrooms, hallways, and other areas where a visual alert makes sense. When the CCU is activated, the VizAlert™ receives the wireless signal from the CCU and ramps up the brightness of its red LEDs.
The LEDs will stay at full brightness for 60 seconds to allow you to get out of bed, get your gear together, and get out to the apparatus bay for your response.
When firefighters talk about healthier fire station alerting, this is the visual part of that equation. VizAlert™ gives you a gentler, red light wakeup in the bunk and a clear visual cue in the hallway without lighting up the entire station.

Can one VizAlert™ control other devices?
Yes. VizAlert™ can act as the local controller for a single BunkAlert®, LED strip, and turnout timer, or SafeTone™.
Does it stay on all the time?
No. In most setups it is dark when idle, and the red LEDs turn on only during an alert.
