How do I convince my staff and crewmembers that we need EaseAlert?

Just fill out our contact form (above), so we can send some materials and schedule a follow-up call. We’ll ask about your current situation, understand how EaseAlert can help, and listen to any objections you’re getting (if any) about EaseAlert.

Once we understand the objections, we’ll put together some materials to share with your staff and crew members, and then put together a presentation that we can go over with your command staff, crew members, and whoever else you want on the call.

How does EaseAlert integrate into my existing dispatch system?

EaseAlert seamlessly ties into any dispatching process with four options: CAD API, relay contact closure, EaseAlert Dispatch Console, or EaseAlert activation button.

Can I buy EaseAlert for myself if I’m an individual firefighter?

Since all EaseAlert devices require integration with dispatching processes and a Central Command Unit (CCU) for range, it’s more suitable for the full station to purchase an EaseAlert system. With that said, you can always start small (e.g., just TacPods ™) and work in more alerting capabilities over time.

Will EaseAlert wake me up?

Yes. After delivering hundreds-of-thousands of alerts, EaseAlert has proven to be effective at waking up all types of emergency responders (from the lightest to the heaviest of sleepers). This is because our body reacts more sensitively to touch (vibrations) than sound (tones) while sleeping.

Think about it this way: Are you more likely to wake up to someone talking or someone poking you? Our brains know that not all noise is worth waking up for, but if you’re getting poked (or kicked by your driver for sleeping through the tones), it’s probably something you need to wake up for.

Since EaseAlert is a wireless system, what’s the range?

The Central Command Unit (CCU) can deliver its encrypted alert signal up to 850 yards in the line of sight. That’s more than half a mile. Plus BunkAlerts act as signal repeaters, creating a mesh RF network throughout your station. We’ve never come across a station too big for the EaseAlert alerting system. If I already wear a watch, do I have to wear two wearables?

TacPod™ comes with a wrist strap attached to it so you can wear it on your wrist.

However, if this won’t work for you, you may prefer our TacPod™ watch attachment, dog tag, or the BunkAlert bed shaker attachment.

How do you measure EaseAlert's impact?

Anonymous surveys: we distribute anonymous pre- and post-surveys to the emergency responders that use EaseAlert. This gives us a baseline for traditional alerting (pre-survey), and a comparison of how EaseAlert works (post-survey).

Clinical Study: we are currently conducting a clinical study in partnership with industry experts from NDRI-USA, Center for Fire Rescue and EMS Health Research, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. See here for more on that study.

How do you know that EaseAlert is healthier than audible alerting systems?

The data from pre-and post-surveys completed by those who use EaseAlert shows that EaseAlert is convincingly healthier than traditional audible alerting systems.

For example, respondents reported that EaseAlert improved overall health impact of the system by 169% as compared to audible alerting systems.
